The Business of Health course is designed for all health leaders, with many shared modules and modules specific only to finance staff or clinical staff.
The course also covers all Australian States & Territories, which is reflective of the rapid member growth since the initial program.
This strategic objective was always to build capability, capacity and professional pathways.
This course aims to educate health leaders in thinking about health as a business. Of course, the quality and safety of patient care is always the priority, but the two are not mutually exclusive. In fact, excellent care is often more efficient and cheaper than good or poor care. Conversely, higher-cost care does not mean the care is of higher quality.
The course is modular; the modules are displayed in the suggested completion order.
Commonwealth Funding must be completed before your State or Territory funding module.
Each module should take approximately two hours to complete, earning you 2 CPD points.
This course is suitable for finance staff new to health finance, non-finance leaders, aspiring non-finance leaders, and nursing unit managers and other clinical managers.
Available 24/7 with a course duration deadline of 6-12 months.
