Through strategic networks, we assist members in their professional development, in building career pathways, ensuring best practice and staying on the edge of current trends and innovation. This is achieved through member-only events, member-subsidised events, formal & informal networking opportunities, involvement in special interest groups, online communities, national forums and more.

HFMA also acts on our members' behalf to facilitate rewarding relationships with our corporate partners & other leading organisations to invest value into you and your health service provider, as well as the healthcare financial sector. If there is a product, a service, an individual or a company that can benefit you, we will be the conduit for that relationship.

Capability and Capacity:

HFMA is one of the only organisations that provide numerous opportunities for both professional and personal development in the niche area of health finance. As a member, you have access to heavily subsidised education and training in various forms, from those new to health finance, to a tailored program for Executives, all of which carry CPD points. Our E-Learning Program has been developed in partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and is the only one of its kind developed specifically for the sector, which is also offered to our members at a subsidised rate. We also offer numerous seminars, programs and conferences all of which provide CPD points towards your ongoing professional and personal development.

HFMA's e-knowledge repository is a sector-wide library of health finance documents to encourage sharing throughout the sector. Through this repository, HFMA members can access many documents and publications including White Papers published by HFMA and partner organisations, sector policies, procedures, best practice presentations, HFMA past Conference presentations, HFMA AGM Minutes and Annual Reports, Presentations from the United Kingdom Study Tour, and more.

There is also the element of recognition & awards, through our national awards program as well as other initiatives, acknowledging outstanding service, innovative practice and other notable achievements in an often unrecognised sector. We value our members, their teams, and the organisations, and want recognition delivered to those who are contributing to a healthy Australia.

We are also working on other member initiatives that will bring enhanced value to you and your organisation/healthcare service provider.
